Helping Boys, in Grades 6-10 Become the Best Version of Themselves

Valley View School blends the tradition of a classic New England boarding school with a deeply integrated therapeutic environment, offering a fresh path forward for boys who have struggled in more traditional settings.

Our Story

A Therapeutic Boarding School Experience
Rooted in Structure, Support, and Possibility

Situated on 215 acres of woodlands and fields surrounding a private lake, Valley View’s historic campus combines a sense of natural tranquility with the structure and purpose of a traditional boarding school, fostering healing, confidence, and renewed engagement in learning.

Support That Extends Beyond Scheduled Therapy Sessions

At Valley View, every part of the day is purposeful. Boys receive consistent therapeutic support, accredited academics, and opportunities to explore music, sports, the arts, hands-on learning lab, and more. They live in dorms with dedicated staff, take part in community service, and develop the skills and habits that set them up for long-term success.

We balance core values, supportive interventions, and high expectations to create a structured and encouraging environment where boys can regain their footing and begin moving forward.

  • “It's a huge group effort to instill self-worth, personal responsibility, social dynamics, citizenship, and education in all the boys. The entire staff is dedicated, professional, and has long term experience with boys just like our son. We are certain that everyone is there because they care and want to make a difference in so many lives. Thank you all for giving us back our son and for giving him the capacity to succeed and have a fulfilling, joyful life!”

  • “Our 13-year-old son was a destructive, defiant, disrespectful boy with anxiety and undiagnosed ADHD prior to enrolling him at Valley View. He was provided constant therapeutic and professional support while we collectively figured out the proper medication. VVS helped to rebuild his self-esteem, which had been decimated. I would have never dreamed this was possible prior to enrolling. VVS saved our son's life; for that I am grateful.”

  • “Just a note of thanks for all that you do, every day, to create an environment where boys can heal, where staff can feel confident that they are making a difference in the world, and where families can feel a sense of comfort and hope in a brighter future. I see all that you do and appreciate you and the joy that you bring to Valley View School.”

Growth Begins with Meaningful Connection

At Valley View, we believe meaningful growth begins with strong, authentic relationships. Boys are surrounded by adults who take the time to know them, support them, and build trust over time. These relationships create the foundation for emotional resilience, personal growth, and renewed motivation.
